Loss Of Balance
The inner ear contains vestibules which sense and maintain the head on a level plain. Perpendicular acceleration and turning motions are delivered to the central nervous system to maintain the body in balance. When the head is tilted or the body is moved, crystals in the vestibule move/sway in the same direction thereby stimulating the hair cells and cerebellum. Once the head is in place and the senses are felt, semicircular channel and lymphs depending upon the flow detect movements. Abnormality in the vestibule nerve causes loss of balance.
