TCM Diagnosis

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) diagnosis method is a very unique. Some of the main differences when compared to Western Medicine is “nameless of diseases” and that only “‘symptoms and signs” exist.

There are 9 states of diagnosis and they can all be determined by 4 diagnostic methods – Looking, Asking, Listening and Feeling. Of the 4 methods, the tongue and pulse is very distinctive and is extensively used to diagnose and confirm the health of the patient.

The description on TCM diagnosis is very brief and is meant to give you an idea of what you can expect during an exam. The ability to diagnose and heal takes extensive education and experience. Please do not attempt TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) at home without the proper education and knowledge.
