Honey Bee Sting/Honey Bee Venom Acupuncture

The book of the Mahuangdui (Ma huang dui yi shu) The root of Chinese medicine discovered Huang Di Nei Jing, the principle of Chinese medicine. During an Archaeological expedition (1963), a site near ChangSha, Hunan province of China uncovered a mummified body of a high ranking official’s wife. Also found were and over 3,000 artifacts that are considered treasures along with books of Yijing (Morality book) and Chinese herbs.

In this medical book, Honey Bee Venom treatment and drug treatments were carefully recorded. Additionally, the venom treatment has been mentioned within Islamic law. This would lead to the presumption that bee venom likely has been used as a treatment for a long time and regardless of race and ethnicity. The Bee Sting/Venom treatment has been noted in the laws of longevity, however I wish to introduce the modernized Bee Venom Acupuncture here.

How to purify the bee venom

The bee venom must be purified due to the venom is mixed with bee’s excretions, small furs and pollen. The bee venom is broken down in distilled water 5 times the volume of the bee venom. The impurities are filtered on filtration paper and then filtered by centrifuge or syringe. Cover the plastic container (containing the bee venom) with aluminum foil and make small holes. Place in a freezing thus drying and removing the moisture.

The functions of Honey Bee Venom

When the filtered bee venom is injected into the acupuncture point, the chemical stimulation has a strong efficacy in the immune treatment of the body, organ, tissues or cells which makes it possible to treat autoimmune diseases effectively.

There are more than 40 properties that circulate Qi and blood which functions to alleviate pain and acts as an anti-inflammatory action and has an overall beneficial effect.

Bee Venom Injection Treatment

A skin test is required because there are some people who are sensitive to the Bee venom. The test is done by injecting a minimal amount of bee venom into a limb far from the heart to observe the response. The patient with a sensitive reaction are excluded from the bee venom treatment. Bee venom treatments are excluded for those with side effects Once the patient is injected, the body/site changes to a red color with itching and the injection site becomes bloated and hard. Areas such as armpits, groins, etc, develops hives.

The patient is tested so as to be sure the do not experience an Anaphylatic shock. The symptoms are 10-15 minutes shortness of breath, dizziness, palpitation, vomiting

Purified bee venom treatment method

Bee venom dose and treatment numbers equals 1g of bee venom is mixed in a ratio of 1:1000-1:5000 in distilled water, 0.02-0.03g  of the venom is injected to the meridian of the muscle on the first time. By 2nd and 15th treatment (depending on the patient), efficacy is 70-80%. The treatment position to prevent an increased workload on the heart, is done while lying down.

Caution needs to be taken after the bee venom treatment. It is not advised to either go to a sauna or have a strenuous workout since sweating will lead to the reduction of efficacy. So it is best to rest thus promoting a slow circulation of the bee venom. After the treatment, it is advised to apply indirect Moxa if there is mild itchiness at the injection site.

The aforementioned dose relaxes the muscles within a few minutes along with the  itching and depending on the body’s response, will last from a few minutes to 2-3 days or possibly 2 weeks for some people.

In Korea, the association of Agriculture and Honey Beekeeping and the local authorities of towns and villages researched and made possible for honey bee farmers to raise their revenues and profits by supplying affordable honey bee venom collectors to the bee farms. Also, support to these farmers to export wrinkle creams and other cosmetic products to foreign countries. This continuous research and support from Government Administrators and relevant associations resulted in the development of a Korean society to be well-off and life expectancy has become greater compared to the United States.
