Detoxification

Mankind has habitually consumed foods that are considered native to their own nation for many decades. These foods are transformed into nutritional materials via digestion. In Chinese medicine, these are called vegetable-grain’s essence. Not only do these foods contain good nutritional materials and vegetable-grain’s essence but also have substances called toxins that are harmful to the body. Excessive consumption of these kinds of foods for long periods of time will cause the accumulation of toxins that can lead to the development of diseases as follows -.

1. Food Excretion Passageway (Stomach-Small Intestine/Large Intestine)

Problem – Within 4-6 hours after the consumption of food, it is broken down into liquid pastes in the stomach and then travels to the small intestine for further breakdown of the food. At this point, the aid of the gallbladder secreting bile along with the pancreas secreting digestive enzymes completes this portion of the process.

The Small Intestine has bacteria that breaks down food and removes harmful substances. Once nutrients have been reabsorbed, leftover liquid from consumed food will be sent to the  large intestine. The Large intestine will further reabsorb nutrients and water and eliminate the remaining waste, additionally bacteria within the Large Intestine will eliminate odor and gas. Note that the Small intestine is responsible for 80% of the immunity of the body. Therefore, it is important to maintain a good balance of microbes within the inner Intestines so as to prevent the loss/depletion of digestive enzyme.  The Intestine(s) need to be maintained, cleaned and healthy.

– The development of toxins is mainly due to food, stress or environment pollution (Water, Air, Location)

– Serotonin which is known as the “Happy Hormone” is a Neurotransmitter and 80-90% of the time is created from intestinal mucus membrane.

– 90% of toxins in the body has a mutual relationship with fats, therefore toxins will be eliminated in conjunction with the removal of fat (lipids).

2. Absorption of Nutritional Substance & the Problem of Excretion & Nutrient Passageway (blood vessel)

Nutrients absorbed via the Intestines pass through portal veins into the liver and then to continuous contractions of the heart muscles ending with an oxygen exchange in the body. When erythrocytes become sticky, it cannot pass through the capillaries.

About 30% of toxins (waste) are excreted via sweat and feces. The main source of aging is reactive oxygen species. The nutritional waste and toxins in the human body are excreted as feces after passing via the Liver and Intestines. Toxins are easily excreted if there are optimal levels of microbes. However, they will be reabsorbed if there is an overabundance of harmful microbes (fungus) in the body. The key for detoxification is lactic fermentation with healthy microbes.

Symptoms of the manifestations of toxins (old waste) in the body are Chronic Fatigue, Weight Gain, Swelling or tingling sensation, soreness, or pain in the body, Skin problems (unknown Etiology), Sticky blood cells leading to inadequate oxygen transportation, cool body temperature and low immune system, Hypertension, Diabetes, Cancer (a decrease in 1.5% of the body temperature will lead to proliferation of cancerous cells)

Disease(s) treated by detox food and juice

Spinal Stenosis, spending time lying down due to lower back pain, Arthritis (knees, shoulders, etc) and Obesity which can be treated and you can lose approximately 24 lbs within 4 weeks without exercise.

Hair loss (excludes hair loss due to genetics), grey hair (white hair), prevent hair loss by treating skin pores and hair root.

Obesity – Your appetite will decrease within 4-5 days after feeling hungry initially and will then re-adjust eventually to the natural tastes and even gout will be cured.

A. Types of Obesity

Edematous Obesity – Accumulation of toxin (old waste)

Muscular Obesity – Accumulation of lactic acid in the muscles and fatigue arousing substance

Lipid (fat) Obesity – Accumulation of toxins in the lipid cells

Problems with a fatty Liver, cholesterol, toe edema and ache, skin peeling off toes, headache, dizziness, indigestion, piercing pain upon awaking will become normal.

Prostate Cancer does not easily metastasize and did not exist in Korea until recently due the change in the diet habits to processed food. The Prostate grows 4 gms annually after reaching 30 years of age.

*More susceptible to developing Prostate inflammation or Cancer if a bicycle is ridden for more than 1 hour. Taxi drivers and those who spend lots of time sitting need to take precautions.

* Sea Mustard, Seaweed, detox juice and detox medicine is helpful.

When there are adequate amounts of good microbes in the Small intestines, someone will be less susceptible to the Avian Flu, new strains of the flu, colds etc.

When there is stress, the intestinal membrane becomes thinner thus causing Diarrhea, IBS, Arthritis pain and Headache. Diseases develop when there are more harmful (bad) bacteria vs the “good” bacteria. So if there is 85% of the lactobacillus (good bacteria) and 15% of the harmful bacteria in the intestinal tract, it would be difficult to develop some sort of disease.

100 million of lactobacillus is excreted during a day. If lactobacillus is not generated, the body becomes susceptible to obesity, insomnia and various uneasy feelings.

Women excrete toxins (wastes) via their menses whereas men excrete toxins (wastes) via sweat and bowel movements. Amenorrhea due to a Hysterectomy cannot excrete toxins (wastes) thus causing allergies and skin diseases that can be treated with proliferated lactobacillus (by taking Detox Juice).

Diarrhea and heartburn after taking antibiotics for a month and having a genetically weak stomach has been cured after 20 days of taking lactobacillus along with presbyopia. Diabetic glucose levels decreased and lactobacillus removed inflammation of blood vessels.

Taking anti-inflammatory steroids and chemotherapy drugs for Rheumatism or excessive intake of foods made out of flour affect the Small intestine which is responsible for 90% of the body’s immunity. Therefore, detox juice was fed to proliferate the lactic acid bacteria resolving the skin and knee joint pain.

Infertility – Lactobacillus creates a sperm-friendly environment as a form of treatment.

Constipation and Diarrhea – Constipation is caused by the accumulation of toxins (old waste) in the Large Intestine while diarrhea is dependent on the bacteria inside the Small Intestine. Constipation and diarrhea develops after taking laxative solutions for Colonoscopy’s due to the complete removal of lactobacillus. A treatment with detox juice to proliferate lactobacillus in the intestinal tracts is needed after.

Taking contraceptive pills will lower Vitamin B and lactobacillus.

Breast Cancer & Gastric Cancer – Develops due to the lack of lactobacillus that dissolves meat.

A. Animal nature Lactobacillus – Dissolves meat

B. Vegetative nature Lactobacillus – Dissolves vegetables

Kimchi Lactobacillus (Lactic acid bacteria)

1) Weight gain even from drinking water – 3 months of intake will change lactobacillus and cells in the body.

2) Lactobacillus multiply’s within 3 months of maintaining Kimchi and transforms into amino acid materials once it’s fermented for a long period of time.

3) Kimchi can prevent SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) and lower the chances of new strains of the flu.

The lactobacillus in the Small Intestine and the Large Intestine are different with the sphincter muscles separating them. The Small intestine lactobacillus is stored in the Appendix and dies once it travels to the Large Intestine. Thus removing the appendix without a justifiable reason(s) should be avoided. When lactobacillus of the Small intestine enters the Large intestine, it causes an adverse reaction such as gas and a bloated and distended stomach.

Detox Diet

1. Skip one meal a day and instead eat the detox food with fermented sauce.

(Note – Detox foods give sensation of fullness and fermented sauce gives flavor and nutrients as additional side dish)

Types of Detox food – Sweet potato, cherry tomato, taro, corns and Kimchi

Cooking preparation is easy and the addition of brown rice is recommended. Keep in mind that a side dish should accompany the detox meal.

Side dish and main course foods (food that can be eaten without being cooked) – cucumber, carrots, pepper, paprika, onions, anchovies, seaweeds, dashima, garlic stalks, cabbage, broccoli

2. Fermented Sauce Foods

A. Hot body type (Warm body) – Cold foods such as seaweeds, dashima, leafy vegetable, cucumbers, etc, (needs to be dipped in fermented sauce).

B. Cold body type (Cold body) – Hot foods such as garlic stalks, pepper, onions, leek, fermented soybean paste stew, fish, etc, (needs to be dipped in fermented sauce).

3. Banned Foods –  Flour, processed foods, fried foods, meat, instant foods and alcohol

Foods made of flour proliferate harmful bacteria in the intestines so avoid flour and processed foods.

Digestive enzymes cannot be consumed. Digestive enzymes are created from all organs and secreted via the Pancreas. However the immunity is decreased when the digestive enzymes are excessively consumed during metabolism.

If antibiotics are taken for long periods of time, they tend to kill off all beneficial intestinal bacteria and it will take 100 days to generate intestinal beneficial microbes again. It is then that your immunity will go up when digestive enzymes are less consumed.

Eating small amounts is important in detoxification.

4. Food container instructions

Plastic wrap usage precautions – Plastic wrap can melt once it is used in a microwave and it can release harmful toxins, so avoid using plastic wrap if possible. Note, minimize the space between the food and the plastic wrap if it is being used.

Stages of toxin manifestations

Stage One –  Chronic fatigue, sore neck and shoulders

Stage Two – Worsening chronic fatigue, pain in the neck and shoulders, weight gain

(Subjective pain becomes severe pain)

Stage Three – An uneasey feeling after voiding and pain during rainy or cold weather.

Stage Four – Worsening stage 3 symptoms and extending pain throughout body

Stage Five – Beginning of diseases

Stage Six – Hypertension, Diabetes, Hyperlipidemia (Untreatable) –  can only be treated with fermented foods

Foods – Peppers, garlic, cabbage, sesame leaf, broccoli, bell peppers, cucumbers, seaweed, dashima, soybean mixed with hot pepper sauce

Chinese Herbal Medicine – Huttuynia cordate, licorice, jujube, lyceum, mate, Cotenelian cherries which are soaked with lactobacillus (for fermentation) for 1-2 days and then ingested.

Licorice normally is not used for poor Kidneys.

Gb 21 – Becomes knotted due to stress or over work, knots indicate toxins.

Rn 12 – Ingestion of spoiled food cause distention and pain.

Liv 14 – Accumulation of stress causes pain and spasms.

(Sweet potato and potato should not taken before a glucose test but can be eaten afterwards)

Fermented Sauce

Since ancient times, China, Korea and Japan has eaten fermented sauce either as a seasoning or as a main food ingredient. The term sauce started in 8 BC during the Zhou Dynasty in China.

During those time, many different ethnicity’s lived together under a loose national structure which led to shared food culture. Eventually, people migrated into specific areas (Korea and Japan) and cultivated separate traditions along with their own uniqueness to the sauce.

In Korea after 2000 BC,  the pasty sauce was separated into soy sauce and soybean sauce. Soy sauce became a seasoning and soybean sauce was used widely as a main food. Additionally, adding hot pepper to the soybean created a hot pepper sauce which became popular.

How to make Soy Sauce and Soybean Paste Sauce

Soy Sauce – Every year beginning in mid-November, new soy beans are soaked for one day, boiled for about 5 hours and broken down into mortar and tied to rice straw. Once white fungus is cultivated for a month in the shade, another month is needed to ferment into Meju.

January, clean water is added into the pot along with sea salt. Meju is carefully cleaned with a brush and dipped into salt water. Once it dries, it is then placed into the pot.

The proper amount of salt water is determined by the uncooked egg being able to float about 25% in the potsherd pot. Pepper, jujube and charcoal is cleaned with salt water and then placed into the potsherd pot with the lid closed. The potsherd pot must be maintained after cleaning the outside of the pot.

After 2 months, the Meju and salt water transforms into a brown liquid which needs to be separated into a pot and boiled slowly at 80℃ and then cooled which now becomes the Soy Sauce.

Place a hemp cloth over the pot and further separate the sauce by pouring it over the hemp cloth thus increasing the fermentation of  the Soy Sauce so as to create a better tasting Soy Sauce.

Soybean Sauce –  The Meju that was retrieved from the potsherd pot is crushed with adequate amounts of Soy Sauce while adding a little bit of salt but not to salty If the soybean paste is slightly salty, the color does not change. Return it to the potsherd pot and pressed it well. Additionally, add 2 cups of prepared soy sauce and close the lid to continue the fermentation process. Note that it takes more than 6 months for complete fermentation.

How to make Hot Pepper Sauce

The Meju that was obtained from the making of soy bean is dried into a powder and then mixed with rice, sticky rice, wheat or sorghum powder (steamed and crushed into powder). The above is mixed with hot pepper powder then barley sprouts, syrup and salt for fermentation.

(Soybean paste and hot pepper sauce is also fermented in a potsherd pot)

Sauce prepared with beans

Beans that are ripe are selectively picked and soaked overnight and then boiled on a high heat until it becomes mushy and then continue cook and simmer.

The cooled boiled beans are placed on a cotton cloth and then covered with another cotton cloth for 2-3 days as the fermentation process at 40℃  and until the lactobacillus is multiplying.

How to make Kimchi

Kimchi’s main ingredient is Chinese Cabbage (which was registered as Kimchi Cabbage on April 2014 via 44th Codex), however, in Korea it is called “Baechu”.

First the Kimchi (Cabbage) is salted sits for approximately 2 to 8 hours (time required for salting differs according to the season), add the hot pepper powder, sliced radish, scallions, garlic, ginger and shrimp or anchovy fish sauce and then mixed with the cabbage leaves for fermentation until it is ready to eat.

Approximately, 8 – 10 days after the Kimchi is made, lactobacillus is proliferated and it multiplies for the first 3 months.

(The sour taste signifies that it has changed into amino acid properties)

If you cannot make it yourself, fermented foods have become a commodity in large industries despite the fact that it’s a traditional food. One way to be sure that you are getting a quality product is to check whether it’s fermented from iron or if plastic containers or chemical spices has been used. Also check about the quality of the ingredients that have been used or the origin of its manufacturing.
